Aromatherapy massage
Sometimes you just need someone to take care of you for a while.
Aromatherapy massage at Aroma Therapie Suite is offered exclusively for women — because I understand the particular kind of exhaustion that comes with being a woman in midlife. The mental load. The broken sleep. The sense that your body is doing something you do not quite recognise anymore. This treatment is not just about relaxation — it is about giving yourself permission to stop, to be still, and to be held in a space that is entirely yours for the duration.
I work with over 40 high quality essential oils, never pre-blended, always chosen with you in mind. In a short conversation before your session I will find out how you are really feeling — and from that, I will create your blend. Lavender to ease the mental chatter. Frankincense to ground and settle. Bergamot to lift a heavy mood. Chamomile to soften tension held too long. Or something else entirely — because with over 40 oils to draw from, the possibilities are as individual as you are.
All oils are safely diluted in a carrier oil before use.
All services at Aroma Therapie Suite are available to women aged 18 and over.
A brief health consultation is carried out before every first appointment — this is a professional requirement and is always in your best interests. Please mention any health conditions, allergies or skin sensitivities at this point, even if you are unsure whether they are relevant. There are some circumstances where a treatment may not be appropriate or where adaptations may be needed — I will always be honest and clear with you about what is suitable for you personally.
I do not currently offer reflexology, aromatherapy massage or self-care workshops during pregnancy. If you are pregnant and looking for complementary therapy support, please speak to your GP or midwife who will be able to advise on appropriate options.
If you have any questions about suitability before booking, please just get in touch — I am always happy to have that conversation.

Honestly — that is entirely up to you. Everyone is different, every life is different, and I would never prescribe a treatment plan or put pressure on you to book more than suits your circumstances.
What I will say is that complementary therapies tend to work best when experienced regularly, at least initially. Many clients find that having a course of treatments closer together at the start helps them feel the benefit more quickly — and from there, the frequency naturally finds its own rhythm depending on how you feel and what works for your life.
Whether that is weekly, fortnightly, monthly or simply whenever you need it — the most important thing is that it works for you.
One small suggestion — if you can, it is worth booking your next appointment before you leave. Not because you have to commit to anything, but because having something in the diary means you are already planning to look after yourself. And that, in itself, is a good habit to start.
The closing paragraph is the most important part — "having something in the diary means you are already planning to look after yourself" reframes the rebooking suggestion as an act of self-care rather than a sales technique. Women will respond to that far better than any commercial prompt.
It also gently encourages rebooking without any pressure whatsoever — which is completely consistent with your values and your voice. Shall I add this to the master document?
Your session begins with a consultation where I will take a little time to find out how you are feeling, discuss any areas of tension or discomfort and talk through your preferences for the oils. From that conversation I create a personalised blend specifically for you.
The massage itself focuses on relaxation — typically covering the legs, back, shoulders, neck, scalp, face, abdomen and arms, though this can always be adapted to suit your needs and comfort on the day.
Session duration varies depending on the type of massage you book. Full details of each option and their duration are available on the aromatherapy massage page — or just get in touch and I will help you choose what is right for you.
All sessions are offered exclusively for women. Session finishes with aftercare advice.
Many women describe leaving a session feeling like themselves again — lighter, softer, less tangled up in whatever they walked in with. The effects can be immediate or they can unfold gradually over the hours that follow.
Some of what clients most commonly share:
A deep sense of calm and physical relaxation — tension that has been held for days quietly releasing
A lifted mood and a clearer, more settled headspace
Feeling genuinely rested — not just physically but emotionally
Better sleep, particularly when stress or anxiety has been running high
A sense of having been properly looked after — which in itself can feel like a rare and valuable thing
The benefits of aromatherapy massage tend to build over time. Many women find that regular sessions — rather than a one-off treat — make the most meaningful difference to how they feel day to day.
I work with a carefully curated collection of over 40 high quality essential oils — never pre-blended. Before your session I will take a time to find out how you are feeling and what you need most from your treatment. From that conversation I create a blend that is entirely personal to you — whether that is something calming and grounding, uplifting and energising, or deeply relaxing to help you properly switch off.
Popular choices include lavender, frankincense, bergamot and chamomile — but with over 40 oils to draw from, your blend will be chosen specifically for you on the day. All oils are safely diluted in a carrier oil before use.
Please mention any allergies or skin sensitivities when you get in touch or at your consultation. Depending on the nature of your condition, I will advise whether aromatherapy massage is suitable for you and discuss any adaptations that may be possible.
Absolutely — your preferences matter and they are always part of the conversation.
Before your session I will take a little time to find out how you are feeling — physically and emotionally — and what you are hoping to get from your treatment. If there are particular scents you love or ones you really cannot get on with, please say so. That information helps me create a blend that is right for you in every way.
The selection and blending of the oils is where my training and expertise come in — choosing the right combination for your individual needs on that particular day is a skill I have developed through my qualifications and years of practice. Your preferences guide me, but the blend itself is created by me, for you.
The result is something entirely personal — a blend that no one else will have, made specifically for you on that day.
The essential oils used in your massage continue to absorb into the skin and work within the body for several hours after your session. To support this process and maximise the benefit of your treatment, the following aftercare is recommended:
Drink plenty of water — hydration helps support the body following massage and is particularly important after aromatherapy treatment.
Avoid bathing or showering for at least 6–8 hours — this allows the essential oils to continue absorbing through the skin. When you do shower, use warm rather than hot water.
Avoid swimming or using a sauna or steam room — for the same reason, avoid any activity that would remove the oils from the skin for at least 6–8 hours after your session.
Rest where possible — aromatherapy massage is deeply relaxing and your body will benefit from time to rest and integrate the treatment. Avoid rushing back into a busy schedule if you can.
Avoid alcohol — ideally for the remainder of the day following your session. Alcohol can interact with essential oils and counteract the benefits of your treatment.
Avoid strenuous exercise — for at least 12 hours after your session to allow your body to respond fully to the treatment.
Eat lightly — avoid a heavy meal immediately after your session.
Keep a note of how you feel — some clients notice an immediate sense of calm and ease. Others find the benefits build over the following 24–48 hours. Regular sessions tend to produce the most significant and lasting results.
Reactions — occasionally clients notice mild temporary responses following aromatherapy massage such as increased tiredness, heightened emotions or skin sensitivity. These are generally short-lived. If you notice any skin reaction to the oils used, please contact me so we can review the blend used for future sessions.
Skin care — avoid applying other skincare products to the areas treated for several hours after your session to allow the oils to absorb fully.
