MY STORY -
Why I founded
Aroma Therapie Suite
I am Fiona Brown — a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of clinical experience, based in Dungannon, County Tyrone, and the founder of Aroma Therapie Suite — a nurse-led women's health and wellbeing practice serving women across Northern Ireland.
My nursing career has taken me across many different areas of clinical practice, and throughout all of it one thing has remained constant — a deep commitment to supporting women at every stage of their lives. I have sat with women at some of the most significant moments they will ever experience. And I have also sat with them at moments that felt far less significant to the outside world — but were quietly devastating to the women living them.
Menopause is one of those things. Not because it is life-threatening. But because of what it does to a woman's sleep, her sense of herself, her daily life — and because of how often she is told, in so many words, to just get on with it.
I know this professionally. I also know it personally.
Why choose this service
Honesty about scope
I am clear about what my services are, what they involve and what they are not. I never overstate my role or my credentials.
GP first, always:
Medical concerns belong with a GP. I always signpost appropriately and never position myself as a substitute for medical advice or healthcare.

My approach starts with one simple belief — that when women understand what is happening in their bodies, everything becomes more manageable.
As a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of clinical experience, everything I offer is grounded in evidence-based guidance for women's health. The CBT programme I deliver is recommended by NICE — the organisation that sets clinical standards for healthcare across the UK — and I completed my specialist training through the British Menopause Society, the UK's leading professional body for menopause care.
But what does that actually mean for you?
It means the programme I offer is not something I put together myself — it is built on research, developed through NHS clinical trials and recommended at the highest clinical level. And it is delivered by someone who has not only trained in it professionally, but lived it personally.
It is important to be clear — this is not therapy and it is not counselling. Think of it as a practical learning programme. Over six sessions you will learn:
-
Why hot flushes and night sweats happen and what is going on in your body
-
How thoughts, stress and your nervous system can influence your symptoms
-
Practical techniques to reduce the impact of symptoms in the moment
-
Skills that belong to you long after the programme ends
Alongside this, my qualifications in Reflexology and Aromatherapy allow me to offer complementary therapies for relaxation and general wellbeing — a different kind of care that supports the whole of you, not just the symptoms.
Together — the learning programme, self-care workshops and the complementary therapies — mean that when you come to Aroma Therapie Suite, you are not just being looked after. You are leaving with something. Understanding. Practical tools. A clearer sense of what your body needs and how to support it.
That is what I am here for.
Take care,
Fiona
